what is leadpages? You don’t need any web or graphic design experience at all. If you want to grab leads, connect with your target audience, and boost sales, Leadpages can help you do that.

What Does Leadpages do?

There are quite a few powerful features packed into the Leadpages suite. Altogether, these make it one of the leading landing page builders and lead generation tools for small and medium-sized businesses.

Here are the main things Leadpages features:

Drag-and-Drop Page Builder

I don’t think it could be any easier creating a landing page than it is when you create one using Leadpages.

The drag-and-drop function makes the entire process a breeze. There’s no need for coding or anything complicated. You can create simple and clean landing pages that fulfill your needs.

Within the landing page builder, you get over 150 templates to choose from. These won’t require you to put in that much work to get set up. Leadpages is all about making the process of building landing pages as easy as possible. Many of these templates are great on their own. All you need to do is change the text and images to suit your needs, and you’re done!

Leadpages - is it the best page builder

There’s a neat feature for the templates that shows you what the conversion rate is for a particular template. That means you can pick one that converts well on average, all but guaranteeing that you will achieve similar results.

Of course, there are other adjustments you can make to the landing page within the page builder tool as well. These include:

  • Adding images or videos
  • Adding a countdown timer
  • Modifying the page’s layout
  • Move key content around the page

You can also place additional elements anywhere on your landing page. The one constant within your landing page will be the responsiveness of it. That means it will always look great on a mobile screen, no matter what you change around on the page.

Leadboxes

Have you seen pop-up opt-in boxes show up on a site you went to, offering you an exclusive discount or some other offer? That may have been a Leadpages Leadbox. These pop-up boxes show up at a certain point after a user has gone to a website, either automatically or by following certain predefined conditions.

The most popular opt-in pop-up box is considered to be the two-step one. This means that a visitor to a site triggers the box by clicking on a specific button. It’s been proven to convert well, hence why it is so popular.

Your primary purpose for using the Leadboxes is to increase engagement, which increases leads, which increases your revenue. It’s a seamless process that has been used by countless people to grow their businesses.

There is an easy-to-use drag-and-drop builder for Leadboxes, which will help you set one up within the span of a few short minutes.Leadbox There are tons of ways to use Leadboxes, including:

  • Setting up the conditions for the pop-up to show up after a set amount of time. Alternatively, you can set up the conditions so that it shows after a visitor has gone to your website after a predefined number of times.
  • Triggering a pop-up to display once it is apparent the visitor is exiting the page.
  • Making use of the 2-step opt-in option, so a visitor has to click on a button to trigger the pop-up to be shown to them.

What’s more is that you can even add videos or countdown timers to your pop-up boxes, which has been shown to increase conversation rates.

Alert Bar

If you feel that a pop-up is too in-your-face for your target audience, Leadpages also has a more subtle alternative. Called an alert bar, this lead generation and call to action (CTA) solution won’t interfere with the user experience visitors to your website are having.

As with everything else Leadpages offers, alert bars are mobile-responsive. They make a great CTA that can provide you with additional leads.

Leadlinks

This feature makes it easier to get your current subscribers to sign up for something new you are offering. Someone only has to sign up once. Then, their email address gets included in a special database, ready to use for other lists you may want to create for special offers. Visitors can sign up by making just one click on a signup page.

Leaddigits

Rounding out the list of features is Leaddigits. With this feature, not only can you capture the email addresses of visitors, but you can also collect their phone numbers. Depending on what your needs are, this could be incredibly beneficial for you.

Pros and Cons of Leadpages

As with everything, there are both pros and cons to using Leadpages. Let’s do a quick rundown of each, to give you an idea of what this software suite is great at and what it doesn’t quite get perfectly.

How to create a Landing Page with Leadpages

Building a landing page using Leadpages is incredibly simple. You’ll mostly be dragging, dropping, clicking, and typing. The already-made templates take a lot of the work out of the process. You don’t need to hire expensive designers or developers. You’ll have professional-quality landing pages in no time.

So, how do you create a landing page with Leadpages?

Here’s the gist of how it’s done…

Select a Template

With over 150 templates, and soon to be 200, there is bound to be one you love. Once you’ve clicked on “Landing Pages” you will have to click on the big button saying “Create New Landing Page.” However, I suggest making it easy on yourself and just going straight to the template gallery to choose a pre-made template.

Instead of clicking “Create New Landing Page” go ahead and click on “View All Templates.” Choose the type of template you would like or browse around through all the templates. Once you find one you like, click on “View” to see a preview of it. If you still want it, click on “Use this Template.” Give your landing page a name and then click on “Start Building.”

Edit the Template Content

You will notice that there are already-created areas on the landing page template that include placeholder widgets. Feel free to get rid of any you don’t want, move them around, edit them, or add custom content. All changes are saved automatically.

You can edit every widget by simply clicking on it. This will take you to its settings, as well as the area where you can edit the content contained within it. There is plenty of styling and customizing you can do here.

Create a Form

After you’ve got all your widgets properly set up, you can create a form. This can be done by using a form widget to help you grab email opt-ins from your landing page. There should already be an opt-in form within most templates.

Add a Lead Magnet

Your lead magnet will be the incentive for people to give you their email address. This is usually something like an ebook.

Once people input their email address to get your lead magnet, they will see a Thank You page. This is a page you should create from scratch so that it’s unique to your offering.

Publish Your Page

Once you’ve completed all the steps above, click on the “Preview” button to see your new landing page.

If you love it, click on “Publish” to share it with the world!

That’s all there is to it!

Now that I’ve probably convinced you that Leadpages is the best landing page builder suite, you might want to know how much it costs.

There are three tiers: Standard, Pro, and Advanced.

Depending on how large your business is, one of these tiers will be more suited for you than the others.

The Standard tier is for entrepreneurs and small businesses.

The Pro tier is for SMBs that are already bringing in decent revenue.

The Advanced tier is for businesses that have dozens of websites and have scaled out pretty far.

There is no enterprise tier since Leadpages focuses on catering to small and medium-sized businesses.

You have the option of either paying on a monthly, yearly, or bi-annual basis. The more extended subscription you get, the less you will have to pay overall.

I’ll break down each plan individually for you.
